Those interested in becoming polysomnographers in selected areas around New York State can take advantage of a new hybrid degree option.

多导睡眠描记术 laboratories provide students with the opportunity to view demonstrations, evaluate 和 实践 with medical devices, 和 perform simulated clinical procedures. In addition to the cognitive skills required in the classroom, 学生必须 demonstrate psychomotor skills in manipulating patients 和 equipment, as well as general professional behaviors like team-building 和 interpersonal communications. To satisfy 实验室 requirements, 学生必须 perform all procedures without critical error. This requires high levels of cognitive, perceptual, 和 psychomotor function. In addition to physical capabilities for classroom work, the laboratories require students, 协助下, 组装设备, st和 while using both h和s to perform procedures, 执行精细运动技能, 和 perform procedures requiring considerable strength. Examples of the latter procedures include turning 和 moving patients 和 possibly cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
